Last night, York debating took part in a campus general election debate, live on radio! We were represented by Chris Woods, who’s role was to stimulate some debate and argumentation between the party representatives. It was a lively and energetic debate, and well worth listening to!
You can listen to the whole debate on URY player at http://ury.york.ac.uk/uryplayer.php?pod=127

We are very pleased to announce we will be holding an introductory workshop, which is open to everyone! The workshop will take place from 2:30 on Wednesday 5th May in L/036. It will be a fantastic opportunity for novice debaters, and people who have never debated before, to get a taste of debating.
It will be quite informal, and we’ll run a few different activities to begin learning some of the basics of debating. Remember, you don’t have to speak! We are quite happy for people to come along just to watch and take part.
Look out for flyers around campus, and we’ll see you there!
